MOST OF THESE ARE ASSIGNMENTS I WORKED ON FOR THE TIME-BASED MEDIA CLASS TAUGHT BY PROFESSOR KRISTA STEINKE AT TEXAS A&M, VISUALIZATION
Split decision was a group final project I worked on with Theron Smith (Texas A&M, Visualization) and was an interactive movie that can be played like a video-game. This is a trailer we made for this project, which was accepted for Viza-go-go, which is Department of Visualization's end-of-the-year student work showcase.
In this Sound and Light scape project, we were encouraged to utilize original audio and various lighting techniques to tell a story. Audio recorded and edited with Audacity and Video edited in Adobe Premiere Pro
Editing Assignment where we explored different types of techniques including cuts, transitions and speed control. The students were provided a large open source library of stock footage to work with and create a narrative based on the collected footages.
In this experimental assignment, students made use of film sheets and manipulated them with sketches, stickers and paint in order to create interesting overlay effects, that was then used to create an edited video. I combined some of the film effects on a stock footage of a moving train to create this surreal sci-fi effect.
In this Time exercise, students explored how time can be manipulated and represented in a movie in various different interesting ways. I chose to show how time can be condensed in a movie to portray the passage of time.
